VISA THRESHOLDS REMINDER - Oct 1st

VISA THRESHOLDS REMINDER - Oct 1st

Effective 1 October 2019, the Visa Dispute and Fraud Monitoring Programs will be updated.

Visa will reduce fraud and dispute thresholds for the Visa Fraud Monitoring Program (VFMP), the Visa Chargeback Monitoring Program (VCMP) and the Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program (VAMP).

Visa will lower the VCMP/VFMP standard thresholds from 100 to 90 basis points and VAMP thresholds from 100 to 75 basis points.

Program / Threshold Criteria

VCMP Standard Program

  • 100 or more in dispute count and
  • 0.9 percent or higher ratio of dispute count-to-sales count

VCMP Early Warning

  • 75 or more in dispute count and
  • 0.65 percent or higher ratio of dispute count-to-sales count

In an effort to maintain acceptable thresholds, MobiusPay will be working with you by monitoring your chargeback activity and offering guidance on how to adhere to the new standard being effected on 1 October 2019 as there is no grace period to adjust once we reach that deadline.

If you have any questions, or if there is any other information we can provide, please feel free to contact our risk department at risk@mobiuspay.com and we will be more than happy to help.
